Aussie vs Euro – Bathurst Assault

Bernd Schneider heads an all-European driver line-up to defend his Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12-Hour title. Mind you, Will Davison and his Aussie teammates are vying to spoil their party – it’s a real Aussie versus Euro battle! Joining Schneider in the purple/black #1 Erebus Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 is Maro Engel and Nico Bastian. While Aussies Jack Le Brocq and Greg Crick are supporting Davison in the green/black #63 machine.

Thetwo Erebus Mercedes SLS AMG GT3s were definitely the cars to beat in the 2013 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12-Hour, with Erebus unlucky not to get both cars onto the podium. The Bathurst 12-hour is not the only event the all-conquering Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 tasted victory. Mercedes’s world-wide squad of SLSs had a hugely successful 2013, winning just about every major endurance event worth winning, including; 24 Hours of Dubai, 24 Hours of Nurburgring, Spa 24 Hour, 1000km Nurburgring, Gulf 12-Hour Abu Dhabi, and the Blancpain Endurance Championship. With this form, the two Erebus Merc’s are again firm pre-race favourites for the 2014 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12-Hour.
